Skellefteå Municipality has built a brand-new athletics hall, which also houses a sports hall. The athletics hall had to comply with Swedish championships standards, which place high demands on lighting, including horizontal and vertical light values. The lighting must also be very even and mustn’t be glaring.

Lighting solution

In cooperation with the contractor Umia, SG Armaturen succeeded in submitted the winning proposal.

The selected luminaires were Arena for the athletics hall and Arena Sport with a protective ball grate in the sports hall, as well as Sense Round and Rax 200 in outlying areas. The luminaires have excellent lighting properties that meet the project’s high requirements, and they are energy efficient at the same time.
